Studio Policies
Students are allotted one lesson per week. Lesson fees will not cover the cost of materials such as books and accompanists. Additional fees are to be determined each start of the vocal studio year (September). LR Voice Studio reserves the right to raise lesson fee rates at any time, but rates will not change within the calendar year. New fee rates will apply to the following vocal studio year (September).
Students are expected to be prepared for each lesson by practicing outside of the lesson period. It is the student’s responsibility to learn the music provided by the teacher, as the teacher is simply a facilitator of learning. Students who show little growth due to lack of practice outside of lessons may be dropped from the studio. Specific practice expectations will vary from student to student as determined by the teacher.
Payment Policy
Payment is due in full at the start of each lesson. Failure to have payment upon start of lesson will result in an additional late fee of $10. If the student does not remit payment as mentioned upon the next lesson, an additional late fee of $20 will be added to the total missed fees (i.e. $75 + $10 + $75 + $20 = $180). Students who have two lessons unpaid will be immediately dropped from the studio and an invoice will be sent. The student is responsible for purchasing all books requested by instructor and paying other miscellaneous fees (i.e. recital, singing competitions).
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of lessons must be done at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time excluding illness. Failure to cancel within 24 hours will result in forfeiture of lesson, charge for missed lesson ($75/$100), and will incur a late fee of $10. If the teacher cancels the lesson without 24 hours notice, lesson fees will be refunded and/or can be utilized for the next scheduled lesson (if prepaid). If the teacher is unable to reschedule the lesson within a weeks time due to scheduling conflicts, the fees associated with the lesson will be returned to the student (if prepaid). Students will not be allowed more than three makeup lessons during the vocal studio year unless otherwise stated by the instructor prior to the vocal studio start (September). To cancel a lesson, please call (414) 303-7155 or email Jarathmann@gmail.com.
No-Show Policy
A student is considered a no-show if they have not arrived within the first 7 minutes of their lesson. If the student is deemed a no-show, the student will be charged for that lesson with an additional late fee of $10 for the first no-show and $20 for the second. If you are delayed arriving at your lesson due to traffic, inclement weather, or unforeseen circumstances, it is expected you contact the instructor so you are not deemed a no-show. Without communication, any absence will be marked as a no-show. If the student incurs three or more no-show lessons, the student may be dropped from the studio.
Refund Policy
If lesson(s) has been prepaid, the student has two weeks to remove themselves from lessons to get a full refund. After the two week period, if the student removes themselves from the lessons they will forfeit their prepaid fees. In issuing refunds, the teacher will return funds in the form of a check or via digital payment source (i.e. PayPal, Venmo, etc) within two weeks of removal from lessons. Please see the cancellation policy for refunds regarding cancelled lessons.
